Is everyone aware that there is an option to dental insurance? It's a discount health benefits membership. You pay a membership fee, usually monthly, and get discounts when you go to the dentist. There are a variety of different plans available. These are very good for those who have no dental coverage at all. They get upto 80% off on their dental costs. My sister in law saved over $1500 on braces for her son. The one I'm familiar with can be used in conjuntion with health insurance and is particularly handy if you have a high deductible (catastrophic) plan or an HSA. With and HSA you may even be able to pay your membership fees before taxes and save that little bit more!
